# Understanding Fees

## Trading Fees

The trading fee is a flat **2% of the trading volume for each transaction**. This fee is applied when your order is executed, meaning it's deducted from your account once your buy or sell order is successfully matched and completed.

If a trade is canceled or fails to execute, no trading fee will be applied. Fees are only incurred upon the successful completion of a trade.

## How Fees Are Calculated

The trading fee is calculated directly on the total value of your trade. For example, if you place a trade with a volume of $1,000, the trading fee would be $20 ($1,000 \* 0.02). This 2% fee applies to both buy and sell transactions, so each time you complete a trade, the fee will be applied to that specific transaction's volume.
